A charity night is being held on Tuesday July 21 at Marium Tandoori, in The Parade, Claygate to raise money for Claygate Primary School.
All the money for any food bought during the evening will go towards the school in Foley Road.
Owner Masum Miah said: "I know that the school is currently renovating their swimming pool. I went to that school myself and that was were I learnt to swim so thought it would be good to help raise some money for them."

I also went to that school when I was a child, it is wonderful to see that the restaurant and family is carrying on their long standing tradition to help the local community, the event itself was wonderful and the Mayor of Elmbridge made a visit also. Community support at its best.
I think more businesses should do engage in support of their local institutions, personally I feel it is a dying tradition in Britain.
