Kids smoke drugs in street
A mum says her life is blighted by teenagers boozing and smoking drugs outside her home on an Esher housing estate.
The single mother of three, of Joseph Locke Way, says she is afraid of leaving her home at night and has felt intimidated by groups of youngsters since she moved in three months ago.
The 30-year-old, who did not wish to be named for fear of reprisals, said: "Sometimes there can be up to 15 teenagers standing around until the early hours and the language they use is disgusting. They stand on the street smoking cannabis. It's so strong, you can't keep your windows open because it billows through. I find it intimidating and it is very unnerving living here."
The mum, originally from Molesey, swapped her Hersham council home for one on the estate in June, and said she had no idea of the trouble she would encounter.
She said: "It just seems like their parents don't care. The police say they will do something and they do drive round here about twice a day but nothing seems to get done.
"I just don't feel comfortable living here. I moved from my previous place to start a new life. This is not the sort of place I would ever thought I would be bringing up my children."
Surrey Police said officers are aware of a number of ongoing issues in Joseph Locke Way, but would not explain what those were.
A spokesman said: "Police require further information and support from residents in the area. The greater the level of information reported, the greater the level of actions which can then be taken in response."
Last Monday (August 18) officers were called to Joseph Locke Way at 10.57pm following reports of a public order disturbance.
Police stopped several vehicles and spoke to numerous youths - warning them about their future conduct and advising any groups to disperse.
No one was arrested or charged with any offence.
If anyone has any information about illegal or suspicious activity they should call Surrey Police on 0845 125 2222.

i think this is getting worse it wont be long till some one gets killed. The kids ride mopeds around and the police dont do any thing, this issue needs urgent help from the police.
Three rules to follow
1) Ban rap music. That way the kids might learn to speak English.
2)Re-introduce the cane. That way the parents will know their kid has done wrong.
3)Bring back National Service. That way the kids will learn some bloody respect and discipline.
